The KATU Engineering Department is typically staffed Monday through Friday. Weekend emergencies should be directed to the on-call engineer.

How do I watch the Rip City TV Network on KATU and KUNP?

Starting January 1st, The Rip City TV Network is available on KUNP 16.1 (La Grande) and KUNP-LD 47.1 (Portland). KUNP.1 will also be simulcast on KATU 2.2.

If you live in our broadcast areas, you may be able to receive KUNP & KATU via free over-the-air by using a television antenna. We suggest utilizing the RabbitEars.Info Signal Search Map, searching for your address, then selecting "Move Pushpin to Center of Map View", and then selecting "Go" to receive a list of available stations in your area. From there, you can look for KUNP/IND, KUNP-LD/IND & KATU/ABC to find the strongest signal available and the direction to aim/mount your antenna.

Local retailers like Fred Meyer, Best Buy, and Walmart typically stock small indoor television antennas. If you are more remote and require a larger antenna, we suggest looking at the selections from Channel Master and Televes.

While our main KATU transmitter is located in the West Hills of Portland, we also operate and maintain a number of low power translator stations throughout northern Oregon and southwest Washington: https://www.katuengineering.com/hesk/knowledgebase.php?article=9

Contact your local cable or satellite provider to find out if they carry KUNP.1. This was formerly Univision Network Spanish language programming, so it may be located in a different guide area until they update their channel listings.
