To better serve rural areas in Northern Oregon and SW Washington, KATU and other independent organizations operate low power translators to fill-in areas that cannot receive our primary transmission originating in Portland, Oregon.
We utilize a combination of off-air pickup, microwave relay, and fiber-optic connections to feed the various translator sites.
We suggest utilizing the RabbitEars.Info Signal Search Map, searching for your address, then selecting "Move Pushpin to Center of Map View", and then selecting "Go" to receive a list of available stations in your area. The Result List will include the network affiliation and compass direction to get you started on aiming your antenna.
After aiming your antenna, you'll need to go into your television settings and perform a "Rescan" or "Auto Program" function to see if you are able to receive any new channels.
